Meet the Advisory Board

The TulsaGo Advisory Board plays a pivotal role in the overall structure of the organization. The board is made up of both corporate leaders and small business owners (who are part of the TulsaGo SBOC - Small Business Owners' Committee), each offering their own perspective towards the enrichment of the mission, purpose, vision, and core values of TulsaGo.

  • John Clawson is VP of Engineering and Program Management at NORDAM. He joined the company in 1995 as a design engineer and has held positions of increasing authority since that time, including project engineer for the Hawker 4000 IPPS Program; engineering and program manager for the F2000EX IPPS Program; value stream manager for the Pratt & Whitney product line; and director of operations.

    In 2004, Clawson earned the Nacelle & Thrust Reverser Systems Division Leadership Award. Prior to joining the company, he was a senior design engineer for Lockheed Martin Aero & Naval Systems. His career also has spanned positions with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and Boeing Military Airplane Company. Clawson holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri.

  • Chris Schutte is the President and CEO of Process Manufacturing. He joined the Energy Sector in 1996 after an honorable tour with the U.S. Marine Corps. He started in Technical Sales with United Engines, working with companies such as Halliburton, Schlumberger, National Oilwell and other energy related businesses in the Midwest. In 2002, Mr. Schutte joined FW Murphy and after roles in Product and Marketing Management, he and his family were expatriated to Germany in 2005, where he assumed the role of Director of European Sales & Marketing. While in Europe he advised ownership on potential new acquisitions as well as represented headquarters' interests in existing European joint ventures.

    In 2008, Mr. Schutte was asked to return to United Engine's manufacturing group, UE Manufacturing, as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. By applying a new strategic vision as well as expanding the customer base to include multiple, multi-national well-servicing companies, he was able to grow total revenue from $18 million to over $290 million in 2012.

    In February of 2014, he and a former business partner purchased Fleet Service of Tulsa, Inc., in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As the President and CEO, Mr. Schutte's strategic leadership and vision was able to turn the company around and exponentially increase market share and revenue. In August of 2016, Mr. Schutte sold his interests in Fleet Service to focus on new acquisitions.

    In his role as President of Process Manufacturing, d.b.a. Process Service & Manufacturing, Mr. Schutte will be responsible for the overall management of Customer Service, ensuring the service of the company's debt facilities, and the implementation and execution of a dynamic growth strategy which will diversify and strengthen the overall health and longevity of Process and its Employee Family.

  • James Rusher is a partner at Albright, Rusher & Hardcastle Law Firm. He has a broad spectrum of experience but primarily practices in the areas of commercial litigation, collections, construction litigation, family law, probate and estate planning. For over 30 years he has represented national and local companies of all sizes and individuals in a wide range of disputes, including, contract disputes, business torts, construction litigation, disputes between shareholders and partners and intellectual property disputes. He has represented creditors in all types of collection matters including replevins, foreclosures, collection of unsecured debts, enforcement of rights in bankruptcy and forcible entry and detainer actions. In addition he has represented women and men in divorce cases and performed estate planning for a large number of people.

    His expertise and professionalism has earned him recognition by his peers as a Super Lawyer, one of the Best Lawyers in America in commercial litigation and one of Tulsa’s Top Lawyers. He is rated as “AV Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell.

  • Liz is a life-long Tulsan. She is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and holds a BS in Business Administration. After college, Liz worked in the audit area of an International Public Accounting Firm where she had her introduction to oil and gas accounting. After leaving public accounting, she was responsible for the accounting, administration and financial reporting for both exploration and productions companies, as well as mid-stream gathering and processing companies. In 1996, Liz became a founding partner in The Resource Group, a company that provides outsourcing services to the oil & gas industry including gas marketing, contract administration, and acquisition evaluations. Liz is regularly involved in charitable community organizations focused on childhood hunger and public education.

  • Ed Martinez is the principle for Ed Martinez Agency which is a State Farm Insurance and Financial Services agency and Ranger Enterprises LLC. He is in his 26th year of service for State Farm and has been recognized by State Farm as one of the Financial Services/ Mutual Fund Leaders in 2004. Ed started his agency in Leavenworth Kansas in 1993, serving there for 2 years. He was asked to move to Tulsa to help with the first ever Agency 2000 training program in 1995. In the 2 years Ed worked with the program he helped place 48 agents in Kansas and Oklahoma.

    For 2004, he qualified as a member of the Chairman's Circle and to the Central Zone Vice President's Council. He has qualified for Legion of Honor for 12 years, Bronze Tablet for 5 years, most recently qualified as a Silver Scroll Agent and has traveled 5 years. IN 2005, his agency was honored with the Tulsa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Avance Award as the small business of the year.

    Prior to joining State Farm, Ed served as an officer in the United States Army, retiring after 20 years. He is a veteran of the Cold War, Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He has been awarded the United States Army Bronze Star for his service during the Pershing Gulf War, has 6 awards of the Meritorious Service medal, 3 awards of the Army Commendation metal and an Army Achievement Medal. He has been awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, and has the Ranger Tab and was Airborne qualified.

    Ed is the past Chairman of the Board of Tulsa's Community Health Connection, which he help found. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greater Tulsa Hispanic Chamber for 6 years, which he helped found in December of 1998. He has served on the board of the Tulsa Metropolitan Urban League for 6 years, and is a founding member of the American Dream Coalition, which advocates for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. He is not married and has 4 children and two grandchildren, Caydence and Maddison.

  • Sharmien Watkins is Owner/CEO at Watkins & Associates.

  • Pat Hobbs is a Tulsa entertainer and community volunteer. Since retiring as a financial manager in the oil service industry, he currently serves as Accounting Manager for The Tulsa Garden Center. He has also served as Chair of Theatre Tulsa, and Treasurer for ahha, Tulsa and OkEq. He is also the Artistic Director for the “Third Thursdays in the Rainbow Room” series of musical cabarets at OkEq.

  • Marilyn Ihloff, founder and president of Ihloff Salon and Day Spa, opened her business in 1980. Using a home equity loan, talent, Marilyn established a business recognized in each year from 1998-2016 by Salon Today as one of the 200 fastest growing salons in the nation. Ihloff Salons and Day Spas are also regularly voted “Best of Tulsa” by local publications such as Tulsa World, Tulsa People, Oklahoma Magazine, and Tulsa Kids. Since 1980, the operation has indeed grown steadily and currently employs 90 team members. Ihloff Salon and Day Spa currently has three Tulsa locations, Utica Square, South Memorial, and Ihloff at the Hyatt.

    In April 2008, Ihloff represented the state of Oklahoma at the national Small Business Association competition in Washington D.C. She has served on the TPS Bond Development committee, the Board of Sustainable Tulsa, and as the chair of Mosaic Diversity and Inclusion group. On a national level, Ihloff has served on the Board of the Professional Beauty Association, the American beauty industry’s trade association and is a member of Intercoiffure America.

    Ihloff graduated from Nowata HS (and in 2014 was inducted to the Nowata High School Hall of Fame) and Bartlesville Beauty College. She attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated BS Finance from the University of Tulsa.

  • Emily Stewart is the owner of Ranch Acres Wine & Spirits in Midtown Tulsa, one of the city's oldest and most established liquor stores.
