OG&E Oklahoma Gas and Electric Announced as 2023 OKGO Market Presenting Sponsor TulsaGo

  Press Release / Media

TULSA, Oklahoma – OKGO Market is pleased to announce OG&E as its presenting sponsor for the 2023 marketplace event in Tulsa. Over 200 local businesses will come together for what has become one of the largest merchant gatherings in the state of Oklahoma. OKGO Market is a carefully curated marketplace event that allows the community an opportunity to support a wealth of small businesses all in one place.

The OG&E sponsorship allows for an even bigger 2023 marketplace and furthers the opportunity for Oklahoma businesses to participate. Each potential merchant goes through a multi-step selection process and final selection of the local businesses leverages an objective marketplace strategy centered around combining a food, shopping, and maker’s market all into one exceptional retail experience.

“We are proud that OG&E will serve as the presenting sponsor for OKGO Market,” says Erik-Michael Collins, managing partner at Aurasun Group. “Their commitment to the entrepreneurial community is a true investment in Oklahoma’s future and economic well-being.”

Encompassing a diverse group of merchants from various trades and backgrounds, OKGO Market presents a well-balanced event that offers local food, clothing, accessories, jewelry, gifts, novelties, and art. The marketplace development team has created an integrated model that incorporates both brick-and-mortar and home-based businesses into the event. Not only does this contribute to the overall trade mix, but it also gives home-based businesses a distinctive opportunity to generate awareness and equity for their brand, all while generating sales-tax revenue for the community.

“We are committed to growing the communities we serve, including the small businesses that are at the heart of local economies,” said Jeannette Staden, senior program manager for commercial energy efficiency at OG&E. “We energize success for small businesses by offering energy efficiency programs and incentives to help them take control of their energy use and their bottom line.”

Since 2016, OG&E has provided more than 1,800 small businesses with $8.8 million in energy efficiency upgrades such as installation of more efficient lighting and refrigeration. OG&E’s small business efficiency program is open to any small commercial customers with a valid OG&E account meter and no more than 200 kW peak demand at any one facility. OKGO Market will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. in the Expo Square Exchange Center. Admission is free and open to the public. Special edition reusable OKGO Market shopping totes can be purchased upon entry or customers can bring their own.
