I am Esther Wright, and I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Oaxaca (pronounces “wah-haak-kah”), Mexico. I have lived in the United States for over 20 years, but the people of Oaxaca have never left my heart. For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about helping those who are less fortunate, as-well-as educating others about my culture, language, and traditions.
In 2018, I left the fast-paced corporate world to follow my dreams of helping the people of Oaxaca and share its magnificent beauty around the world. My time in business gave me the courage to pursue my desire of helping others, specifically the Oxacan people. Hilo de Amor means "Thread of Love" and that is exactly what all of our items are made with.
